Wilbur Goforth President / GM The Goforth Media Christian radio stations have become such a permanent fixture along the upper Gulf Coast, it may be easy to assume the radio ministry will continue indefinitely. But the truth is that God will keep this station on-the air and the only thing that can put an end to the outreach is indifference from God’s people. Our Lord has given us a reminder with music and word of his presence in our lives each day. But if we choose to neglect his gift, He will not force it on us. Robert Barber Manager/VP It is an awesome privilege to see and hear the results of Christian Radio in our community. Through letters and e-mails we receive personal testimonies everyday from individuals whose lives have been dramatically changed or touched in some way by hearing God’s word on one of our three stations. Whether a person prefers great Biblical Teaching, good Praise & Worship music, or the latest in Contemporary Christian Music, we have a station for them. I consider it a blessing to be part of such a ministry that reaches so many people with the word of God through word and song everyday.

Charlie Smith Marketing Director I am in my 15th year with Goforth Media (G/M). Prior to coming here in 1993 my 26 years in sales prepared me for the work I feel God called me to do. We have seen some changes in the staff as some come and then move on to other positions but every person that has worked at G/M has really been called to their position. Working with this staff and helping in marketing and underwriting on our 3 stations is a joy. I work to promote concerts and seek out funds for daily operation through advertising on both AM station and the Underwriting program on POWER 88. Doing something you love is the greatest joy you can have. My daily routine involves working with church pastor’s, and secretaries, promoters of Christian concerts and Christian business owners. The pleasure is in knowing you have done something to keep God message on the air. There is a verse I learned years ago; II Corinthians 5:20 (NIV). It says "We are ambassadors for Christ, and God is using us to speak to you." Robert Lutz Announcer What a joy it is to be a part of the Goforth Media Team. God used Goforth Media from 1988 to 1991 to help prepare me for ministry. I was an announcer for WBHY AM while studying electrical engineering at the University of South Alabama. God later called me into the ministry. My wife and I moved to Fort Worth, TX so I could attend seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Since seminary I have been blessed to pastor in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and in the mountains of Tennessee before returning to the Mobile Bay area. God has given me the privilege of being the pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church in Saraland. In 2009, I finally completed writing a basic discipleship book entitled, Practical Transformation. Beyond my work in ministry, God has blessed me with an incredible wife, Belinda to whom I have been married 13 years. We now have four kids – Braden (7 years old), Denae (6 years), Andrew (4 years) and Casey, who was born July 9, 2010. Dylan Mitchell Morning Drive, announcer From the time I accepted Christ as my personal savior, I began to feel a calling to into the ministry. Youth ministry became my focus. However Christian films, such as “Facing the Giants” and “Courageous” opened my eyes to cinematography as a ministry. And while film-making is now my college major, I’ve come to realize that as Christians, we’re called to minister wherever we find ourselves in life’s journey. I am blessed to follow in my father’s footsteps as the host of the morning show here on Power 88. Every single staff member here sees this work as a ministry and I am very fortunate to be part of such a sincere staff of people who work to further the kingdom of God by spreading His word in music. Kristi Wallace Snow AM Announcer Hi! I'm one of the AM announcers here at the station. I also do traffic logs, program downloading, daily recording, and editing of audio for all three stations. Words cannot even describe how wonderful it is to be a part of this ministry here at Goforth Media. It is amazing to see and hear the ways God is using these stations to encourage and uplift the listeners. What a joy it is to leave work each day knowing God may have used you in some way to minister to others! Keep praying for us and thanks for listening!!

Jane Goforth Board of Directors/Sec. These radio stations are run by a group of ordinary men and women under God's leadership. Everyday we get letters, Email and phone calls from our listeners telling how God is using our labor to draw them to Him.

Annie Smith Public Service Director I started working at Goforth Media, Inc as a volunteer before I became a member of the staff. I enjoyed coming to help mail the newsletter and got more involved in the ministry of the station. There was a need for someone to answer the telephone in the afternoons, since I was going to be retiring from BellSouth the Holy Spirit impressed me to do this. Since coming on staff I enjoy helping with other chores that need to be done around the station. I have helped with concerts by getting the volunteers to help. What ever the Lord has for me to do each day, I enjoy seeing what is being done to minister to the community through this ministry.

Brad  Arnold Engineer It is a priviledge to serve as Chief Engineer for Power88. As a Christian it is great to seek opportunities to participate in the speading of the Gospel. All the folks here at Goforth Media are commited to serve Christ and it is a great joy to be a part of this effort. God blesses this work in many ways and I look forward to the future here.

Dr. Rick Cagle Broadcaster/Advisory Board Working in association with Goforth Media and the 3 stations has become one of the highpoints of my life. My ministry (Evergreen Mnistries) has become like a sister ministry to this great organization and I love the people, the mission, and the medium of radio. I wish you could see as I do just how committed and loving this group is, they are the best! They are wonderful examples of responsible and Godly Christian service at its best. Kevin Thomson AM Announcer After 17-years in secular radio, I have been blessed with the opportunity to change lives along the Gulf Coast through the airwaves of Goforth Media's radio ministry. Broadcasting what God is doing and has done and what He will do with the teachings of WBHY-AM 840 and with the classic Southern Gospel Music on WLPR-AM 960, has made my life a lot more enjoyable and less stressful! The staff of Goforth Media, my co-workers, are a group of compassionate, faith-filled people, making this work and even the drive from Mobile to our new studios in Spanish Fort a lot more enjoyable. Jeanne Anderson CPA I've had the joy and privilege of providing tax and accounting services to Goforth Media for several years. Working with their knowledgeable personnel has been a pleasure. The Mobile and surrounding areas are truly blessed to have outstanding Christian radio provided under the Goforth Media umbrella. Jean Williams Bookkeeper / Announcer My first real introduction to Christian radio, except for listening to “Southern Gospel” music sometimes, was as a bookkeeper for Mr. Goforth at another radio station. When he left that station and purchased WBHY-AM 840, I found out that he needed a bookkeeper, so I applied for the job and was hired…that was in May of 1986. It has been a rewarding and exciting experience through the years as I have seen God’s hand in everything that has been accomplished at Goforth Media. God has proved sooo faithful in helping us to be able to do things that was needed to provide Christian programs and music to our listeners. My prayer is that Goforth Media, Inc will continue to grow according to God’s will and plan so that many more souls can be reached with the Gospel Message.

Steve Riggs 1925-2010 Board of Directors/VP/Engineer Steve Riggs Chief Engineer and Vice President of Goforth Media. He was the person that was responsible for many things the average listener never thinks about. With 3 radio station broadcasting every day there were many pieces of equipment that must be fine tuned, some daily and some on a weekly basis. From a microphone to a high-voltage transmitter and all the other electrical machines in between, Steve keep the old and the new in top operating condition. A master in RF Transmission and all phases of radio and TV engineering Steve’s work history includes teaching Radio & Electronic in High School Engineering at several local TV stations. His Experience was fifty plus years.

Dave Ramsey Dave Ramsey offers life-changing financial advice as host of the nationally syndicated radio program, “The Dave Ramsey Show,” which is broadcast on more than 350 radio stations throughout the United States to over 3 million listeners each week . The live radio talk show focuses on life, love, and relationships, and how they happen to revolve around money. Dave says, "It's where life happens...caller after caller." The Dave Ramsey Show is broadcast live at 1:05 PM weekdays on WBHY 840AM Mobile and 103.5 FM Spanish Fort/Daphne.
