The Jubilee Youth Service Leadership Academy of Mobile will begin a Christ-centered, Bible Study for boys ages 12 to 18 eager to deepen their faith and develop a personal relationship with Christ. The classes are for anyone suffering from dependence on alcohol, drugs, domestic violence and more. Modeled after nationally recognized 12-step programs,” Recovery NOW” and seeks to help you understand the causes of dependency and ways to resolve those issues using faith-based methods and techniques. AUG 17Mars Hill Church at 17176 South Greeno Road in Fairhope will host “Perspectives”, a fifteen lesson discipleship course exploring different aspects of God’s global purpose in a multi-faceted learning experience. AUG 25First Methodist Church of Summerdale at 402 West Jackson Ave will have a Monday Night Singing August 25th at 6:30pm. Featured singers will be “Jubilee Trio”. A Love Offering will be received at the singing. Dessert will be served after the singing.

The Prayer Warriors of Mobile County will have a special Prayer Service Tuesday, August 26th at 7pm at Rehoboth Church Ministries at 1320 Center Street in Mobile. There will be several church ministries and pastors to pray personally with those in attendance.

Big Fish Ministries is hosting Overdose Drug Awareness Day Sunday, August 31st from 5pm until 8pm in Heritage Park in Foley. The event will have a variety of speakers talk about overdose awareness. Moffett Road Baptist Church at 5555 Moffett Road in Mobile will have Author Destiny Dawn September 6th at 9am share her story and how to protect children from online predators. Destiny will talk about the traumatic events that unfolded in their family's life in 2018. Her faith in Jesus Christ is the reason she made it through this experience and receive strength, healing, and hope in trials and circumstances. A Love Offering will be received to benefit Camille Place, a group home providing comprehensive care for those affected by sexual exploitation and trafficking.

The Agency for Substance Abuse Prevention will hold a Faith-Based Support Training Conference September 18th and 19th at Bishop State Community College, 351 North Broad Street in Mobile. The training is scheduled from 8am until 4pm each day. The Conference will equip participants with vital tools and resources addressing substance misuse and improving mental health outcomes in their communities. The Women’s Resource Center will hold “This Is Life 5K” Saturday, September 27th at Semmes Honor Park on Wulff Road in Semmes.
